Chocolate with sprinkles, Red Velvet with Cream Cheese icing, brownies dipped in chocolate and presented with colorful wrappers – with Pops, the possibilities are endless for your creations.
With the explosion of Cake Pops, has come lots of ideas and designs and Wilton has got you covered with their new book Pops! Sweets on a Stick!
Last week I shared with you Wilton’s simple directions for making Pops in your own home and promised to share my creations with you for the Wilton Pops in a Post Contest.
So, without further ado…I give you OUR sweet little nuggets of goodness on a stick.
Making pops is just about as fun as eating them. Just ask my kids, anything you put on a stick can be fun to eat. Cake, Brownies, Cookies, Grilled Cheese. (Yes, my 2 yr old stuck his Grilled Cheese on a stick and gobbled it up!)
My goal was to use all of the decorations that came with the Wilton Blogger Kit, which was not hard to do with all the wonderful items that were included. We dipped and sprinkled and attached and rolled in lots of candy toppings and decorations.
I believe that my personal favorite out of all of our creations were the Brownie Pops. Using a silicone mold, I added batter from a regular Brownie mix and baked – inserted the sticks halfway through the baking time, cooled, dipped in Wilton’s Candy Melts and decorated. It was that simple.
We even used Wilton’s Star Mold to make these adorable 4 Star brownie treats. I can’t wait to make them for our next 4th of July Picnic! Fun!
The possibilities are only limited only to your imagination (or by the pages included in Pops! Sweets on a Stick!) when making Pops.
Make pops for a rainy day, your next party or even as a gift to cheer someone up. Pops make perfect gifts!
I’m very excited to keep creating and sharing with all of you. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have to sign-up for a Wilton Decorating Class at Michael’s!
Thank you Wilton for the wonderful ideas and pops baking essentials to keep me going!
