We’re a little bit obsessed with Aldi finds lately. Have you noticed that suddenly, shopping at Aldi has become a thing? It’s gone from the grocery store where you only buy cheap pantry staples to the grocery store where you buy all the things—plus German chocolates and wine and the kind of fancy cheese you serve on charcuterie boards.

It’s always fun to take a peek into other people’s shopping carts, so today, we’re sharing a few of the items we never miss when we’re out on an Aldi run. Without further ado, here are our favorite Aldi finds.

1. Mama Cozzi’s Take & Bake Deli Pizza

THIS PIZZA IS HUGE! Like, seriously, ridiculously huge. It’s one of the rare store-bought pizzas that will actually serve a family of four. Buy the Five Cheese variety for under $6 and let everyone in the family customize their piece of the pie with their own favorite toppings. (If you’re into the cauliflower crust pizza thing, they have those too!)

2. Park Street Deli Fresh Guacamole

Yes, you can make your own guacamole. And yes, making your own guacamole is easy! But you know what’s not easy? Finding that perfect avocado at the grocery store. Why bother when you can buy guac from Aldi that tastes just like you made it yourself?

3. Happy Farms Shredded Cheese

We always stock up on shredded cheese at Aldi because a) cheese makes everything better, and b) name-brand shredded cheese can be pricey, but Aldi’s Happy Farms brand is just as good! The Emporium Selection label also has shredded gouda, Swiss, and gruyere for some international flair.

4. Countryside Creamery Pure Irish Butter

As long as we’re perusing the dairy aisle, be sure to pick up a package of Aldi’s version of the ever-popular Irish butter that keto and low carb folks always rave about. Even if you’re eating all the carbs, this Aldi find is still a great butter to have on hand for upgrading your biscuits and rolls.

5. Stonemill Herbs and Spices

So maybe it’s not as fun as guac and pizza, but we all need to stock our pantries with spices and Aldi makes it a whole lot cheaper, with most spices priced at under $1. Major brands can sell for four times as much! Keep in mind, though, that Aldi doesn’t have quite as many herbs and spices as a supermarket, but if you need cinnamon or ginger, you can’t go wrong.

6. Fresh Fruits and Vegetables

Let’s be honest—there was a time when you wouldn’t want to touch the produce from Aldi. It was stacked in cardboard boxes at the back of the store, unrefrigerated, usually looking a little past its prime. If it’s been a while since your last visit to Aldi, you’ll be happy to learn that their produce is refrigerated now and it’s fabulous! It’s also much, much cheaper than other grocery stores.

7. Fresh Atlantic Salmon

In other surprising Aldi finds, let us point you to their fish selection. It’s pretty amazing. Aldi sells sustainable seafood that is Best Aquaculture Practices certified and, best of all, it’s fresh, never frozen. Time to make some fish tacos or One-Pan Baked Salmon and Asparagus!

8. Specially Selected Chocolate Chip Brioche

We could eat this sweet, cloud-like brioche all by itself, but it’s also great cut into thick slices for a French toast casserole. In the fall, be sure to pick up a loaf of Aldi’s pumpkin brioche too!

9. Choceur Chocolates

You absolutely cannot go to Aldi without treating yourself to some German chocolates. Even a plain milk chocolate bar is swoon-worthy, and for Easter and Christmas, you can find all kinds of seasonal delights to buy for friends and family—and yourself too.

10. Carlini Extra Virgin Olive Oil

EVOO is expensive at other grocery stores, but since it’s in so many recipes, it’s hard to avoid having to shell out money for it every month or two when you run out. That’s why Carlini Extra Virgin Olive Oil is one of the best Aldi finds —for about $4, you can get an award-winning bottle, which is about half the price you’ll find anywhere else.
