The video is by maliejoy on TikTok and she says it is so good that she will never buy store-bought ranch again. She uses it on everything. We go through a lot of ranch here at my house, my kids are obsessed with it. I would love to give this a try because I am sure it is healthier and tastes better too.

This is so simple and easy to make that you can whip it up in just a few moments. This simple ranch dressing is great for a snack and perfect for an afterschool treat also. If you have a good storage container, you can send this with the kids to school in their lunch.

How To Make Homemade Ranch Dressing

First of all, it seems so easy to make! Secondly, all of the ingredients needed to make it are things that you most likely have on hand already.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • Mayonaise – Using real mayonnaise is key!
  • Sour cream – I prefer using regular sour cream, not anything light or low fat.
  • Milk – Regular milk is key, too.
  • Juice from 1/2 of a lemon – Fresh lemon juice works best but you can also use bottled lemon juice, too.
  • Dill
  • Parsley flakes
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder

Step One: Add the ingredients to a bowl

Take all of the ingredients listed above and whisk together in a bowl until mixed well.

Step Two: Add to a mason jar

Then pour it into a mason jar and cover. You can use it right away if you want, but it will taste better if it can sit in the refrigerator at least 30 minutes. Probably even better if you can hold off overnight!

What does well with ranch dressing?

I bet this would be delicious on fresh vegetables as a dip! I know my youngest will want to use it with anything and everything, especially pizza.
