Every mom dreads those four little words that their kids say in the middle of the night – “Mommy, my tummy hurts.”. Those four little words can be so scary because you don’t know what’s coming next! We have had our share of tummy troubles this year. Thankfully it never hit the entire family at the same time, but there were definite times we were down with the yuks. I have never been one to reach for any over the counter medicine to give my kids or even myself! I don’t like to fill us all full of things I can’t pronounce that have a huge list of side effects. But sometimes it’s necessary for a little help in getting over that sickness hump. I always reach for my essential oils to help ease tummy troubles and homeopathic remedies. One that I’ve just recently heard of and tried is Nauzene.
Nauzene Kids liquid nausea relief is a gentle, effective homeopathic formula that works promptly to relieve nausea from upset tummies or even the dreaded “stomach flu”. It is designed for kids as young as two – and works great for the whole family and it’s Pediatrician recommended! Nauzene relieves nausea from “stomach flu” and from all the different reason that upset tummies can occur for children 2 and up. And it even works well for mom and dad to relieve nausea from “stomach flu” and overindulgence in food and drink.
This gentle homeopathic formula has a delicious natural grape flavor that is both gluten and aspirin free, does not contain parabens, artificial flavors, dyes, or salicylates. So there’s nothing you can’t pronounce included in Nauzene! I know that it can be a struggle to get your kids to take medicine, but when it smells like grapes and has a pleasant taste, it’s not as hard and you don’t have to use as many tricks as you do with other over the counter medications.
Nauzene® is available for purchase at CVS, HEB, and many other retailers nationwide and you can get a coupon for $3 OFF by visiting NauzeneKids.com! Remember: Like with everything in your medicine cabinet, please make sure to read and follow all label instructions before using.
Tell me in the comments below what tips or tricks you have to getting your kids to take medicine. One of you will win a Nauzene care package! Contest will end on July 1st! Good luck!

I’ve been struggling with my eldest, I really find him so hard to take a medicine even in a syrup form. It’s given that some med has a bitter taste and another thing that he’s whining about is the smell. I understand him though because I acted that way too when I was a kiddo. So, it causes me anxiety whenever nausea attacks him, gladly there’s a remedy for nausea that he has been taking awhile now integrated with juice.

We mix it in applesauce to get the baby to take it.

Thankfully my granddaughter is 10 and can swallow pills but when she has to take a liquid have her do what I’ve always done. Have a glass of water in hand and drink it as soon as the med hits my mouth.

I actually do not have trouble getting my kiddos to take medicine. But, I should knock on wood. I have one more little one that has not needed to take any kind yet (he is only 6 months old!) and who knows, he may be my toughie! One thing I do make sure of though, is that there is some flavor to the medicine if possible. No one likes medicine that tastes like medicine!

Bribery 🙂
Jessica Marie mommy has a life
Now that he’s older I let him do it himself and he gets a drink of juice right after. 🙂

Finding a medicine that tastes good is always a good tip 🙂

We’d always offer a ‘chaser’ of fruit drink with really nasty tasting stuff, lol!

My biggest tip is to make it fun! We always sing a super silly song about medicine going down our throat slide!

Luckily my kiddo takes medicine pretty well. If anything is super yucky, we just tell him, we now it doesn’t taste very good, but he needs the medicine to feel better, etc. He complies.

I allow my kids to chase the meds w/ a drink of their choice!

I let mine chase their medicine with their drink of choice! This is a rare time for them to get to ask for juice or chocolate milk. 😉

We go through a lot of Vit-C during cold and flu season. I’m not sure if it works but we haven’t gotten sick very often in our household!
