I can’t believe that Christmas is almost here! Less than a week away! My kids are soooooo excited. And we’re getting ready! I’m purchasing gifts (which I always leave until December to do) and I’m wrapping things as we hit the Holiday Countdown of days for the season!
Do your kids get as excited as mine? I hate to say it, but we always buy a little more than we should this time of year. I love to give gifts. I love picking out the perfect presents and seeing their faces when they get what they asked for. Of course, we don’t buy ALL that they ask for and it’s all purchased within reason. But, we really do our best to make them excited and happy on Christmas morning.
Christmas is special in our home because we don’t really buy lots of things year-round. We buy what the kids need – clothes, school supplies, extra activity items like baseballs and dance shoes, but we don’t buy toys and extras. We may pick up something every once in a while that is $5 or less, but that’s about it. So when Christmas comes – my kids are EXCITED! And I really think that helps them to appreciate what they do get more.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Toys“R“Us for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
This year we picked up the Great Big Toys”R”Us Book of AWWWESOME for the kids to look through to get some ideas. Ella, almost 11, and Andrew, 8, really looked through the pages and picked out their most coveted items – items that they REALLY wanted. Hoover boards, video games, and other electronics topped their lists.
Our youngest, Sydney, 4, picked out EVERYTHING. haha! She went through the book and if it looked like something that was for a girl, she circled it! Dolls, pretend play, games, bikes and more! She wanted it all! Well, I figure that makes my job easy because she’ll be happy with anything she gets OR it makes it hard since she wants a TON of stuff! haha! I guess we will see!
I was able to get her to narrow it down some. She likes all things dogs. So, Georgie the Puppy and Chubby Puppies made her pretty excited. She also likes Peppa Pig and has for years. Thankfully, they have out a lot of new items this year. Sydney loves to play with anything small – Shopkins, My Littlest Pet Shoppe and little figures are always a favorite for her. I think Santa may be able to make her happy with a few things from her huge list! 😉
Toys”R”Us has something for every kid in my family and I’m sure in your family. I love that there is just about anything you can imagine in store and online so you can pick up those perfect gifts!
While I think there is a much larger selection from the Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids and Pound Puppies I circled on my must-have list, (I may be telling my age there! ha!) there really is something for every kid of every age at Toys“R“Us! With Christmas less than a week away, check out Toys”R”Us for lots of ideas that are sure to be a winner in your house like in mine! I am pretty sure I’m going to have some happy kids on Christmas morning!
