Are you ready for some Valentine’s Day fun this week? I am! I have a whole week full of fun stuff to share with you! Up today – SURPRISE VALENTINES!
I have never really been an out of the store boxed Valentines girl. I love to personalize and make our cards. But, with now two kids in school, I can’t make them all! But these Surprise Valentines Day Cards are a great project to do WITH the kids. Super easy and super cute! These Valentines can be made very cheaply with only a few supplies. Here’s how to make them yourself.
Gather your supplies – Various scrapbook papers with a Valentine’s Day theme, glue stick or glue dots, label maker (optional) envelopes (or make your own).
First you want to cut various strips of paper into 2 inches in width.
Next, accordion fold the strips and glue the strips into the bottom of the envelopes.
Cut out heart shapes from construction or scrap paper and glue them to the end of the paper sticking out of the envelope.
Add text by writing your own message, using a label maker or use words from scrap paper like we did. It’s up to you!
Fold your strip of paper back into the envelope and seal it up.
That’s it! These Surprise Valentines can be a fun project for you and your children to complete in little time for little money!
Check back tomorrow for some more Valentine’s Day fun!
