This Fall, I am going to be the mother of a Kindergartner and Preschooler. Both of my babies will be in school and I’m going to be at home alone (with 3 other daycare kids!) for a couple of hours a day – major shock.
So, what’s any good mom concerned with while faced with this challenge? STYLE! Not style for me, but style for my kids. First on the list…BACKPACKS!
With some adorable options out there, I’m on the hunt! Small, medium, large, rolling and more…backpack styles are endless!
There are many styles and sizes to choose from. Some of my favorites, of course, are from Pottery Barn Kids. Affordable, durable and stylish, these backpacks are at the top of my “want” list.
New Styles
The Land of Nod is also right up there with adorable selections. These preschool-size backpacks are sure to be a hit with all the kids (and moms!).
And, if your kids are into Cars, Barbie, Toy Story or just about any other character out there, you can find that backpack online or in your favorite local store, too!
Theme Backpacks
I’m not sure what style my kids will end up going for this year…but what is for sure is that there are a ton of possibilities and I’m sure we’ll find one!
What type of backpack are you leaning towards this year for your child or do you re-use the one you have from the year before? I’d love to know!

What a great selection of back packs. I think Zoe needs a Disney fairy one
Kasey
Fairies are good! I like that one a lot. Just something so girly and magical about them!
Joanna
Wow, I have a lot to learn before my son goes to school in 3 years!

What a great collection! My daughter will get her first backpack when she starts kindergarten this Fall and she’s so excited. I’ll have to show her some of these choices!
Kasey
It is really exciting for them! I hope your daughter finds something she loves!
Lenora
All of them look adorable! I’m leaning towards the Potter Barn. I’m also on the backpack hunt too, and I have to say it’s fun! I hate departing with a backpack that last me through high school and two years of college.

Ella’s backpack was from Barnes and Noble last year and it STILL looks brand new. It is so much better to buy something better quality!
Cat Davis
Those are all so cute. I always want to go overboard and buy extras for the kids because they never last.
Kasey
I added up the total cost of the lunch box, accessories and backpack that I wanted and it was close to $100. Probably a little much! haha!
ashley LEMIEUX
these are seriously adorable!
Kasey
Agreed, Ashley!

We are having this conflict…again! I want one from Lands End that will last 2-3 years, he wants the $10 Transformers one from Walmart. Will probably end up with what he wants since it is *ahem* his backpack. Man..Mom never wins 🙁 he he
Kasey
I know! Andrew wants that cheapy, looking Cars backpack. I was really hoping to get him something else…but I guess it is HIS backpack! LOL!

I bought the Batman backpack/lunch box for my son last year from Pottery Barn Kids. It held up so well, he’s using it again this year! You pay more for them, but they hold up better than other brands!
Kasey
I agree…you get what you pay for!
Shannon
I actually am looking at the pottery barn ones right now and have a catalog and can’t decide!
Kasey
It really is a hard decision since they are all so cute!
