Back to School means it’s back to clipping Box Tops! Ever since the kids started preschool, we have clipped those little box tops, collected them on sheets and turned them in for money for our school. It’s always a fun family activity.
The kids love splitting them up and taking them into their class for a little friendly competition between the classes. And what’s fun is that they get incentives along the way with a fun pizza party at the end of the year for the winning class!
While it’s fun to collect and see who can get the most – there’s actually a really great reason behind clipping them. Our school gets money back for each one turned in! Here’s how they work…
· Box Tops are worth $0.10 for your child’s school
· Box Tops is one of America’s largest school earnings loyalty programs.
· Over 80,000 k-8 schools participate
· Schools can use Box Tops cash to buy whatever they need.
· Box Tops for Education has contributed over $525 million to participating schools since the launch of the program in 1996.
I also love when you find an item that has more than the standard box top amount on the box, like these Mott’s Fruit Snacks we found at Sam’s.
Sams is a great place to shop for items with Box Tops on them because they’re worth more!
If I’m spending a little more to get a little more, I am glad the Box Tops match up! Be sure to clip your own Box Tops this year for back to school and send them in with your kids. You school will thank you!
